Question: What are five books on your bookshelf that are just begging to be read?
My Answer:
- The Bible– It’s always being read and always begging to be read.
Leaving Church– by Barbara Brown TaylorOut To Canaan– by Jan Karon (The fourth book in the Mitford Series). I could easily list books 5-9 too. I LOVED books 1-3 and I recently bought the rest of the series from a bookstore that was going out of business. I can’t wait to read them all, but I also don’t want them to end!- The Adventures of Tom Sawyer– by Mark Twain. I read Adventures of Huckleberry Finn in college but never this one. It’s time.
- The Proper Care and Feeding of a Marriage– by Dr. Laura Schlessinger. Found a brand new hard copy at Goodwill for a great price and couldn’t pass it up. A few years ago I read its predecessor, The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands. Didn’t much care for the book (or its title) but still, I’m interested in reading this one.
What’s on your bookshelf that’s begging to be read?
Gail ♥
Books that feeds the soul and nurtures the heart. Beautiful my friend.
Thank you and have a blessed Thanksgiving!
I actually do have exactly five books on my nightstand right now. Overcoming Dyslexia, The Power of Now, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, A Passage to India, and Quiet. One of my New Year’s Resolutions is going to be to finish a book for once. 😉
Sounds like a great selection. I wish you luck on your New Year’s Resolution!!
