The Pretty Flower

Today’s Daily Prompt:  Turn to your co-workers, kids, Facebook friends, family — anyone who’s accessible — and ask them to suggest an article, an adjective, and a noun. There’s your post title! Now write.

Article: The

Adjective: Pretty

Noun: Flower

My favorite flower is the Iris.  I always look forward to them blooming every year.  Yesterday my white irises finally started to bloom.  They are always the first to bloom of all the different colored irises I have.  I love this white flower.  It looks so pure and clean.

I love irises too – the purple ones are my faves, but I have a veritable rainbow of them.

Iris are great but ours are a long way off yet this year. We are firmly in daffodil time right now which are one of my personal favorites. They (and spring) are very late this year, though I count myself lucky, a big part of the state (Wisconsin) got a foot or more of snow today!

    • Gail says:

Wow! You probably have another month or so before your Irises bloom! Here in the southeast, our daffodils bloomed in early March! We did not get ANY snow this year and I missed it. No winter for us at all which seems to be the norm the past few years!

Yep, that’s me! Well, some of the time. Most of the time on my blog posts, I have verbal diarrhea. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
