Dear WordPress, Where Have My Posts Gone???!!!

 

Dear WordPress,

Last night I was scrolling down my blog Home Page and noticed things just didn’t seem right.  Something was “off.”   It appears that some of my posts are missing.  I’m dumbfounded.

So I started looking a little closer and sure enough, I’m missing several posts.  In January of this year, I published seven  posts, but only five of them show up on my home page.  Two are missing.  I can go to my archives, and click on January and all seven are there, but then when I go back to my Home page, I scroll down and yep, you guessed it, there are only five.  So I started looking at other months and it only got worse!

In December of 2013, I published seven posts.  But five of them, YES FIVE, are missing from my homepage!  That’s a lot of posts!!  And a couple of them I sorta liked and was pleased with.  Again, I went to my archives, clicked on December, and all seven show up. Then I went back to my homepage, and there were only two.

This makes me wonder what is going on WordPress?  Where have  these 7 posts gone?   It makes me wonder,  how many more of my posts are missing?  I haven’t checked back any further, and quite frankly I’m scared to!

This is really, really disappointing.  It makes me not want to blog anymore.  I’ve contemplated deleting my entire blog.  Why waste time writing if my posts aren’t even going to show up?  I happen to believe that most people don’t bother to go to my archives to read my blog…. they go to my home page.   So yeah, I’m disappointed to say the least.

I don’t claim to know much about technology.  Everything I’ve learned about blogging, I’ve taught myself or figured out on my own.   But I can’t understand why blogs that were there before have just vanished on my home page.

Is anyone else having this problem?  Can someone PLEASE explain this to me?
