My Lenten Reading

My prayer this Lenten season:

  • to speak to God in spiritual communion
  • to be changed through penitential practices
  • to reflect on my life both seriously and thoughtfully
  • to get away from this loud and busy world so that I can quietly reflect and pray
  • that I would receive help in changing attitudes and behaviors that need changing
  • that I would learn more about God and more about myself
  • to learn to rely on God more
  • to receive spiritual strength
  • to have my eyes always open to ways I can help other people
  • to have my understanding of God’s Word increased
  • that my hope and faith will be strengthened
  • that I will always be loving towards others and open to God’s will
