There’s lots of orange this time of year around my house. It’s that time of year and I love Halloween!
When I was growing up, my dad always carved a Jack-o-lantern the night before Halloween. My husband and I carried on this tradition with our sons and we always had a lot of fun. When the boys got older, they used the Master Pumpkin Carver patterns but as for me, I prefer the old-fashioned Jack-o-lanterns with the triangle eyes!

It’s so much fun to get all dressed up! Getting ready to go Trick-or-treating! Ages 5 and 2.

Happy children enjoying a family tradition
Our family has always decorated for Halloween. My kids are grown, but still, I decorate.

These two guys have adorned our front porch for many years on Halloween. Somehow, they got the nicknames Beavis and Butthead and we still call them that to this day.

Shining their orange light for all to see!
Trick-or-treaters are always welcome here!

Another family tradition we enjoyed in the fall was taking a hayride to a pumpkin patch.
Other orange things I enjoy: My Tennessee Vols birdhouse. I’m a UT alumni and hubby gave this birdhouse to me on my birthday one year. A friend told me no bird in their right mind would ever take up residence in such a gaudy orange house (obviously NOT a UT fan).

I love orange skies.
And King’s Arm Tavern sweet potato casserole.
I love this fruit salad with lots of orange.
There’s nothing like sitting by the fire pit watching the orange flames on a cool fall night.
Other orange things I love:
Gorgeous orange eyes!
