It’s April in Tennessee!

I just watched the weather on the 6 pm news and the meteorologist said to expect the gamut of everything over the next few days. She said this is very typical of April in Tennessee.

Today it was sunny and in the mid eighties. My husband turned the air conditioner on. Last night the heat was on.

Tonight it will drop to 39 (over a 40 degree temp. change). We’re expecting severe storms with 70-80 mph straight line winds, heavy rain, chance of tornadoes, and damaging hail.

The rest of the week will find temperatures anywhere from the 40s to 60s.

Sunday it will be back in the 30s and there’s even a chance of sleet!

Only in Tennessee!

Dang it. Those are big hail cubes! I don’t think I knew Tennessee had that much fluctuation in weather. Hang in there. Spring IS coming.

We never really know what to expect in TN in March or April. We rarely get snow, but some of our best snows have come in March! The hail missed us tonight (although some locations to the North of us reported it). Our storms weren’t really bad at all (considering how they played them up for the past several days)!

Or April? I don’t think I realized you guys could have such a long winter. To think I have tried to get in a pool that is 68 and it is too cold. It is amazing how our bodies change. I am originally from New England and lived a lot of years in WA, but I get so cold now. Have a nice weekend Gail.

We had a booming thunderstorm here last night. This morning I awoke to snow. It’s been nothing but cold here. This morning I wrote on Facebook, “Winter won’t leave. We should get a restraining order.”

That’s the truth. Here we keep getting teased with weather in the 70s or 80s which gets me thinking, “Ahhh…. spring is finally here!” Then the next day it’s back in the 30s and we’re having to turn our heat back on. Crazy. You guys have been pounded with snow this winter haven’t you? Or more so than usual I guess I should say???
