Dinner Time

I was at the computer busy typing away when I looked to the right and saw this:

They were perched atop the printer and printer table sitting still as could be and ogling me.  I think they were saying, “It’s dinner time, Mom!”

We had a cat puking fest here this morning.  I fed them Salmon cat food for breakfast and within minutes of eating it, Nugget vomited all over the house.  All. over. the. house.  I would be in one room cleaning it up and he would be in another room puking.  This went on for 10 minutes.  It was not pleasant (for me or for the Nuggster).  The last time I fed them Salmon, Dakota puked it all up on the couch and a chair.  Trust me when I say there’s nothing stinkier than Salmon laced cat vomit.

I will not be buying anymore Salmon cat food.  Ever.  Again.

I’ve had many cats and I know the puking game all too well. Not fun. But they are so cute.

Wow! What a horrible reaction to cat food. Poor baby! We had a cat that puked all the time, but it was understood as she duffered kidney failure. Another cat puked a lot too and yet another cat would eat it if we could not get to it first (eew).

My cats like the Salmon flavor; it was their breakfast this morning. All three bowls are empty and it remains inside their bellies.

I am glad your kitties like it and it agrees with them. My cats aren’t usually finicky, but when they do turn their nose up at something, it’s just about always the Salmon. I only offer it about once a month.
It just doesn’t seem to agree with them for some reason. My sister told me her cat won’t touch Salmon.

Oh yuck Gail! Poor kitties and poor you!

  4. Yuck! Salmon puke! Fish + puke= gross! Your story reminded me of the time when our Lab puppy ate and ultimately puked up cat poop. Working on a farm, I’ve been around some really gross stuff. Nothing compared to that. Animals- gotta love ’em!

I’m sorry, there’s not a much worse thing to clean up than cat vomit. (Though as a vet you have probably come across worse.)
    Your kitties are adorable!

    • Gail says:

Thank you! I think they are adorable but they are a handful sometimes. Like when they vomit salmon cat food! LOL!

      • RobbyeFaye says:

        You’re welcome.
I can imagine! We have a cat that vomits all the time. The vet said some are that way, not fun for us and I’m pretty sure it’s not fun for the cat, either!

      • Gail says:

Yes, some cats just vomit frequently. My sister has one of those cats. She vomits almost every day. She’s middle aged now and has done it since my sister has had her. Otherwise, she’s very healthy and happy!

      • RobbyeFaye says:

Sounds like the one that lives with us. I feel for her!
